Although BUBT maintains a central Alumni Association for graduated ex-students of all the departments of university, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) constructed its own Alumni Association consisting of EEE ex-students in order to closely look up activities, responsibilities and mutual interests for both of alumni and the department. The BUBT EEE Alumni Association nurtures a lifelong relation and pride by connecting alumni, students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and all other stakeholders of BUBT.

The subsequent sections describe formation, membership, and operating process of BUBT EEE Alumni Association.

Article-I-1: Name – The name of the organization will be “BUBT EEE Alumni Association” (BUBTEEEAA).

Article-I-2: Location – The principal office of the BUBT EEE Alumni Association will be located at the campus of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT).

 Article-I-3: Vision, Mission, and Objectives

Vision: The Alumni Association of the EEE Department at BUBT is a dynamic organization that is recognized as a valuable resource by the BUBT EEE community. A dedicated Board of Directors will partner effectively with Alumni Services to offer programs that foster campus traditions and perpetuate a passion for a life-long involvement with the EEE Department and hence BUBT.

Mission: To champion a life-long relationship between the Department of EEE at BUBT and the Alumni.

Objectives: 

1. To keep a roster of all Alumni of BUBT EEE Department and their pertinent data.
2. To maintain the updated and current information of all Alumni BUBT EEE
3. To encourage, foster, and promote close relations among the alumni themselves.
4. To promote a sustained sense of belonging to the Alma Mater among the Alumni by being in regular contact with them.
5. To provide and disseminate information regarding their Alma Mater, its graduates, faculties and students to the Alumni.
6. To  assist  and  support  the  efforts  of  BUBT  EEE  Alumni  in  obtaining  funds  for development.
7. To guide and assist Alumni who have recently completed their courses of study at the BUBT EEE to keep them engaged in productive pursuits useful to society.
8. To provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day by organizing and coordinating reunion activities of the Alumni
9. To let the alumni acknowledge their gratitude to their Alma Mater.

The Alumni Association achieves these objectives by staging an annual program of events and reunions; through communications, by providing a range of discounts and services for alumni; and by supporting student scholarships and other fundraising initiatives.

 The memberships of the “BUBT EEE Alumni Association” (BUBTEEEAA) will be as below:

1. Regular Members: All registered Alumni of the Department of EEE will be Regular Members of the Association.
2. Active Members: Active members will be selected from the regular members, who will communicate with other members. Active members will be entitled to all the privileges including voting. Only Active members may hold elected office.
3. Honorary Members: Experts in the Electrical Industry, Professionals, and Senior Officials of BUBT will be eligible to become honorary members. Honorary members will be selected from the majority support of active members.
4. Faculty Members: All non-alumni faculty members of the Department of EEE are eligible to join the Alumni Association.
5. Other Members: From each academic year, one representative preferably may join. The Registrar of BUBT and student representative of the EEE department will be co-officio members of the Executive Committee without any voting power.

Registration: To be a Regular Member of the Association, every alumni of the department of EEE of BUBT has to go through a registration process by filling up a registration form. This registration process will be conducted by the EEE department of BUBT.

Dues: Dues will be determined by the Executive Committee at each annual meeting. For each active member, dues have been fixed at Tk. 1,000 (BDT. One Thousand Only) per year (currently not applicable).

Executive Committee: The dues-paying members will elect a representative to the Alumni Association Executive Committee. The Executive Committee (EC) of the Alumni Association will consist of the following positions.
