Significance of Core Course & Major Course
Students of all the major groups in EEE program, are given a balanced knowledge of electrical circuits and machines, basic electronics and digital electronics, power systems, electrical power generation, transmission & distribution, telecommunication, computer and microprocessor before choosing his/her major areas for specialization.
The primary purpose of the core courses in EEE program here at BUBT is to introduce very fundamental and core concepts of Electrical Engineering and the courses in the major areas will assist them to adopt or refresh their young minds rudimentary know how of analyzing simple as well as complex electric system in his/her area of expertise. The courses in the major areas serve as a useful tool to acquire focused knowledge in a particular area of one’s interest. The material presented in each of the courses- core or major area, is succinct with numerical examples covering almost every concept for fair understanding of the subject.
