Admission Test

Prospective students must sit for written admission test.

The students with higher credential may get exemption from admission test.

Admission Requirements

 For the HSC / Equivalent level students

Science background with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in SSC and HSC or equivalent levels; 

GPA ≥ 2.50 or 2nd Division in both SSC and HSC examinations;

      OR

GPA ≥ 2.00 either in SSC or HSC exam, but combined GPA ≥ 6.00 including SSC and HSC exams;

      OR

‘O ‘ Level with at least 5 subjects and ‘A’ Level with at least 3 subjects and O-level and A-level students must have an average grade of B;

      OR

A dependence (son/daughter) of a Freedom Fighter with combined GPA ≥ 5.00 including SSC and HSC exams. In that case, official proof of Guardian (Father /Mother) as a Freedom Fighter must be submitted.

For the Diploma (Engineering) students

GPA ≥ 2.50 in SSC exam with Physics, Higher Mathematics & Chemistry.

3 or 4 years of Diploma in Engineering from Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) with a GPA ≥ 2.50 out of 4 .00;

      OR

A Diploma student recognized by BTEB with CGPA ≥ 2.50 out of 4.00 in any engineering discipline from a recognized institute.

Proof of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in Diploma level is a must.

Documents Required

Three passport size color photographs (studio lab print with white background for ID card purpose).

Photocopies of SSC/O-Level, HSC/A-Level/Diploma, or equivalent examinations certificates (one copy).

Photocopies of SSC/O-Level, HSC/A-Level/Diploma, or equivalent examinations mark sheets/transcripts (one copy).

SSC/O-Level registration card (one copy)

Birth certificate/ national ID card (one copy).

Original certificates, mark sheets/transcripts, registration card and birth certificate /national ID card must be generated/carried (if not yet) by the candidates for verification at BUBT admission office.

Admission Procedure

Collect Admission Form and Prospectus from Admission Office or Reception Desk.

Verify necessary documents by the admission officials.

Deposit admission fees.

Fill in and Sign on the Application Form.

Submit the completed Admission Form with admission fee receipt to the admission office.

Receive the Admission Slip for identification.

Note:

The Application Form along with Prospectus may also be obtained by ordinary post from the Registrar’s Office by sending a Bank draft or Pay order of 500 BDT in favour of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) and a duly stamped self-addressed envelope.
