- Was awarded the first-grade scholarship throughout from School to the University.
- Got the IEEE best paper award in the USA (1994) for the paper entitled “A novel dehumidification technique using electric field” co-authored with Dr. Rezwan Khan et al.
- The project entitled “Design and construction of a load control center” got the BAPCO prize in the Bahrain University students project exhibition. The project was supervised by M. Fayyaz Khan.

- Independent consultant appointed by IDCOL (Infrastructure Development CO., Bangladesh Ltd.) for establishment of Solar PV assembly plant in 5 different locations in Bangladesh (2010).
- Consultant for preparing technical specifications for different exhibits for the National Science Museum of Bangladesh (2010) .
- Feasibility study for Solar PV- diesel Hybrid DC micro-grid for Nuner Tek and Shonatala Char area under German technical Assistance (GIZ), 2011-2012.
- Design and implementation of solar PV-Diesel hybrid Micro-grid for rural Bangladesh in 5 different off-grid areas of Bangladesh (still in progress), under Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), Bangladesh, 2012-2013.
- A feasibility study of the Solar PV based irrigation system in comparison with diesel based system for rural Bangladesh, Bangladesh Clean Technology Company Limited, 2012-2013.
- UIU obtained a grant from EPSRC, UK (Engineering & Physical Science Research Council) to set up four Nano-grids ( two in Bangladesh and two in Kenya) under collaboration of Geography Department of Loughborogh University, UK; United international University, Dhaka, Bangladesh; INTASAVE, Kenya and Grameen Shakti, Bangladesh. Was an active consultant in the team.
- Prepared a Feasibility study on 10MWP Grid Tied Solar PV Power Plant at Sirajdhikhan, Munshiganj, Dhaka for Electrical Consultants Bangladesh Ltd. (ECBL) for onward submission for Government approval. date of Submission: May 16, 2018.
- Consultant for 1.80 MWp Grid Tied Solar PV Based Power Plant to be Installed by Dhaka South Power Company Ltd. (DSPCL): October, 2018.
- Consultant for 35 MWp Power Evacuation Project at Manikgonj to be implemented by SPECTRA SOLAR Power Ltd. December 2018.
- Team Member as Electricity Distribution Specialist in Asian Development Bank’s Project “Translating Electricity Supply into improvements of Rural Households” Project submitted by practical Action consulting, December 2018.

Responsible for selection, approval and installation of different types of equipment for instrumentation and control as well as power equipment.HVAC: Responsible for electrical maintenance of 140-ton chiller unit. This included maintaining all electrical equipment including multistage thermostat,step-controller, valve and damper control, etc.
- Testing and Commissioning Engineer in the M/O Electricity & Water, Govt. of Kuwait from August 1997 to July 1981. Responsible for testing and commissioning of electrical substations up to 300 KV (SF6) built by different contractors like BBC (Germany), BBC (Sweden), Cogelex (France), Mitsubishi and Hitachi (Japan), Trans Elektro (Hungary) and other local contractors. Responsibilities included follow-up of installation work as per contract, complete testing of the sub-stations installation including primary and secondary injections, HV tests, interlocks, inter-trips, supervisory control from the load dispatch center (LDC), distance protection, alarm transmission to the load center, etc.
- Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh from April 1974 to July 1977. Taught machines, circuit and power system courses.
